His paintings belong to the contemporary art but they build on traditions of the old masters. Craftmanship fom ancient times is developed and made in to someting new.

Few painters have the gifts and the craftmanship needed to capture a living spirit in painting.

 

Earlier Andréas mostly reflected nature of the north in moodfilled oils and watercolours. Today nature also is an important part of Andréas Hedberg art, but the portraits has taken a lot of his time.

 

The artists' home and studio is situated in beautiful surroundings in a small hamlet of northern Sweden.
